Merry Christmas friends and Happy Holidays !
Is there anything more exciting than shopping for new clothes? I had the pleasure of working with DressYou an online retailer where you can buy your clothes, style them & wear them, take pictures, tag the companies and share your personalized looks straight to the site. Its super easy and really fun. The best part is you can make commission if others buy items off your post. In addition, the site offers various retailers in one place from brands like Zara, H&M, Vero Moda, and Aldo.
I personally had fun scrolling through so many different influencer pages that I follow on instagram and looking at what they bought and how they styled the items. It gave me great inspiration and brings a whole new element to shopping.
I decided that I would also enjoy putting a couple of winter outfits together for a DressYou collaboration lookbook entitled Those Winter Looks to showcase what I chose and how I styled the pieces that I received.
Look #1: MY CHRISTMAS OUTFIT

This first looks is officially my christmas look with my family and boyfriends family. I am obsessed with the red silk, spaghetti strap slip dress designed and made by the Montreal designer. Red is perfect for the holidays and the material adds the extra touch of Christmas spirit.

I paired the dress with a faux fur jacket to add some warmth and texture because the dress is simple with a straight and classic cut. I think that although the jacket is a statement it does not take away from the dress because the colour and silk material immediately grabs you attention.

In addition, I added my favourite knee high boots by Zara that are in a black faux suede material. I think that the black, white, and red all go together perfectly and make for the perfect holiday outfit. I finished off the look with a clear purse that holds my new Pino Grigio that I will be taking with me to Christmas dinner.
LOOK #2: COZY CASUAL

This looks is comfy, cosy and casual for all my Christmas Holiday activities. This plaid stretchy material skirt and it has three tortoise shell buttons. This look was styled for a a day of site seeing, pictures and comfort in mind. On this day, my boyfriend and I decided to go to Niagara-on-the-lake to look at all of the vintage shops decorated in the most beautiful Christmas decor and the lights on the Niagara Falls strip at night. I wanted something that would fit all the decor, look very festive in all my pictures and would be comfortable from day to night.
I really enjoy how the skirt featured a festive colour palette like red lines, and green combined with the brown.
LOOK #3: CHIC AND SIMPLE

The third look is one that I would wear on a regular basis. These neutrals are my go to colour palette because they are easy to mix and match with many items in my wardrobe and it always looks like you are put together. I chose the top in a tobacco colour. I love the fact that it is comfy and practical, with a stretchy ribbed material. I also enjoy that it is not completely simple and has this silver zipper on the mock turtleneck. This outfit is perfect to wear during my last minute Christmas shopping.
I am definitely going to be shopping on this site going forward. It was really fun using the site as a platform not only to shop but to follow influencer profiles and keep up with their outfits and be able to shop their looks in under 30 seconds. It is really easy to get brand name outfits without having to think to hard how to style the looks. Not to mention the shipping is really fast and the customer service is great. I highly recommend checking out the site to shop going forward and creating your own profile going forward.
